# Reset Your RNS.ID Password

> Reset a forgotten RNS.ID password by verifying the email address connected to your account and choosing a new password.

If your RNS.ID account uses an email and password, you can replace a forgotten password after verifying the connected email address.

## Reset the password

1. Open the RNS.ID sign-in screen at [rns.id/app](https://rns.id/app).
2. Select **Reset password**.
3. Enter the email address connected to the account.
4. Open the verification email and enter its code on RNS.ID.
5. Complete the new-password step promptly. 6. 7. Return to sign-in and use the new password. Other browsers and devices that were signed in to the account must also sign in again.

  If the email does not arrive, check spam or junk folders, confirm the address is typed correctly, and use the resend action after the countdown ends. Use only the newest code you requested. A successful password reset ends the account's existing signed-in sessions. * an inaccessible Google or Apple account;
* a lost crypto wallet or wallet recovery phrase;
* a deleted account, asset, or blockchain transaction.

If you cannot access the email connected to the account, [contact RNS.ID Support](/support/contact-us). Support may need to verify account ownership, but the documentation does not promise that every access method can be recovered.
