# Mint Your Legal DID

> Mint an eligible Legal DID on Ethereum: check wallet eligibility, pre-mint limits, claims, fees, and the status of your non-transferable token.

Minting issues a non-transferable Legal DID to a specific wallet. Submitting a request or approving a payment does not mean the token has already been issued; check the minting or airdrop status for completion.

## Before you mint

Confirm that:

* the Legal DID is eligible for minting;
* the connected wallet is yours and is not already associated with a different identity on the same blockchain;
* every production screen and wallet prompt shows Ethereum, not Sepolia or another test network;
* the wallet can sign messages and transactions on that network;
* the public claims profile matches your preference.

## Wallet eligibility and multiple tokens

An eligible identity can have multiple Legal DIDs, including more than one in the same wallet. The current minting flow rejects a wallet when it already has a mint record for a different identity on the same blockchain. This identity-binding check is not a one-token-per-wallet limit.

Additional requests must still meet the identity eligibility, request-status, and fee requirements. Do not submit another request while one is awaiting approval or airdrop. If the product reports that your wallet has already been used and you believe it is associated only with the same identity, [contact support](/support/contact-us) with the mint record before paying or resubmitting.

<Warning>
  A minted Legal DID cannot be transferred to another wallet, including another wallet you control. Changing the wallet connected to RNS.ID does not move an existing token. Confirm the destination before submitting the request.
</Warning>

## Review the mint

The confirmation screen summarizes the blockchain, destination wallet, KYC verifiability, claims profile, and airdrop or network fee. Read every value before continuing.

<Warning>
  Production Legal DID minting supports Ethereum only. If the wallet selector or review shows Sepolia, or the review and wallet prompt show different networks, stop. Do not approve the signature, transaction, or fee; capture the conflicting screens and [contact support](/support/contact-us).
</Warning>

RNS.ID may use a fixed airdrop fee and submit the asset automatically when the required conditions are met. The exact option shown in the product applies to your request.

## Submit the mint request

1. Open the approved Legal DID and select **Mint LDID**.
2. Connect the destination wallet.
3. Complete the wallet-ownership signature if requested.
4. Select or confirm the supported claims profile.
5. Review the network, wallet, visibility, and fee.
6. Approve the requested signature or transaction in the wallet.
7. Keep the page open until the product confirms submission.

<Warning>
  Check the wallet prompt carefully. A message signature proves wallet control and does not spend gas; an on-chain transaction can spend funds. Reject any unexpected network, contract, amount, or permission.
</Warning>

## Pre-mint and airdrop

When pre-mint is offered before Palau ID approval, you can pay the displayed fixed fee and submit a queued request. You cannot start another mint while that request is pending. The Legal DID is airdropped only after the qualifying identity is approved and the minting conditions are met.

Pre-mint is limited by application, not by the number of tokens in a wallet: the flow does not accept another pre-mint request for an application that already has a mint record. After your identity is issued, review the mint action on its management page for any additional eligible request.

## After submission

Minting or airdrop can take time. Use the minting-history status and blockchain explorer link in the product. Do not resubmit solely because the asset does not appear immediately. If the record fails, remains pending unexpectedly, or points to the wrong wallet, [contact support](/support/contact-us) with the mint record and transaction hash.
