# Palau ID Application Status and Corrections

> Understand Palau ID application statuses, submit requested corrections, and request an appeal within 30 days of an application denial.

Open the Palau ID card in your dashboard to see the current status and available action. Statuses can advance after verification, internal review, government review, card production, and video verification.

## Application statuses

| Status | What it means | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| **Pending Submission** | Required application or verification steps are incomplete. | Select the available start or continue action. |
| **Additional Review** | Identity verification needs further review or another permitted action. | Open the application and follow the displayed instruction. |
| **Need Correction** | RNS.ID or the government review has identified specific issues. | Review every listed item, update the requested information, and resubmit. |
| **Internal Review** | The application is being screened. | Monitor email and the dashboard; no resubmission is needed unless requested. |
| **Government Review** | The application has moved to Palau government review. | Wait for an update and respond if a correction is requested. |
| **Application Rejected** | The application was not approved. | Read the reason and review the [30-day appeal window](#appeal-a-rejected-application). |
| **Approved** | The application is approved and the ID or card is moving through the next operational step. | Review video verification, production, and shipping information. |
| **Awaiting Video Call** | A required video verification is not complete. | Follow [Video verification](/palau-id/video-verification) to schedule, attend, or reschedule the call. |
| **Active** | The ID is issued and active. | Use the management, download, Legal DID, and renewal actions available to you. |
| **Expiring Soon**, **Expired**, or **Revoked** | The ID is approaching or has reached an end state. | Review the renewal or support options shown for that ID. |

## Submit a correction

1. Open the affected application.
2. Read every correction title and detail.
3. Replace only the requested document, photo, personal field, or shipping field.
4. Recheck related fields for consistency.
5. Submit the correction and confirm that the dashboard no longer shows an incomplete action.

<Note>
  A correction request is not the same as a final rejection. Do not create a new account or purchase another ID unless RNS.ID Support instructs you to do so.
</Note>

## How long does the Palau ID application take?

Review times vary by application and stage. Check the current dashboard and email updates instead of relying on an estimate from an old document. If an email and the dashboard conflict, preserve both records and ask support to confirm the required action. Do not assume that a conflicting display extends an appeal deadline.

## Appeal a rejected application

You may request an appeal within **30 days from the date your application was denied** by contacting [support@rns.id](mailto:support@rns.id), as stated in the Appeal section of the [Terms of Service](https://rns.id/app/termsService).

Include your application reference, the denial date, and the issue you want reviewed. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee approval.

## Contact support

Contact [RNS.ID Support](/support/contact-us) when the status is unknown, an action cannot be opened, a correction remains after successful resubmission, or a rejection reason needs clarification. Include the application ID and a screenshot with identity-document numbers redacted. Submit identity evidence only through a verified, approved secure channel when requested, not as an ordinary email or chat attachment.
