# Manage Your Palau ID

> Manage your Palau ID, understand annual screening requirements, and review how ID deletion affects subscriptions and retained records.

Use the Palau ID management page to review identity details, status, and the actions currently available to you.

## Open your ID

Sign in, open the Palau ID card on your dashboard, and select its management action. The page can show:

* the ID's current lifecycle status;
* validity and expiration information;
* personal details associated with verification;
* card production and shipping progress;
* digital-copy, renewal, replacement, or other eligible actions.

The available actions depend on the ID status. An application in review does not have the same controls as an active or expiring ID.

## Review personal details

Identity-verification details can have statuses such as **Verified**, **Expiring Soon**, **Expired**, **Rejected**, **Under Review**, or **Submission Locked**. When the product offers an update action, complete the requested verification flow and wait for its result.

  Changing verified identity details does not necessarily change an already-produced physical card. When a printed field must change, the updated information may appear only on a replacement or renewed card.

If the data is wrong but no update action is available, [contact support](/support/contact-us). Do not create a second account to work around the issue.

Use [Update personal information](/palau-id/update-personal-information) for the **Update KYC** flow, document updates, review states, and the effect of core-information changes on a physical card.

An approved KYC update starts a 90-day self-service cooldown; use the next-update date shown on the page. After three rejected KYC update submissions, the update action remains locked until Support reviews the case. For urgent legal-name or identity-document corrections, contact Support with the ID reference and displayed status.

## Annual screening

The [Terms of Service](https://rns.id/app/termsService) require annual updated KYC/AML, criminal-background, and sanctions screening. Purchasing a multi-year term does not remove this requirement.

Under the ID Renewal Terms, unfavorable screening results can lead to revocation of Digital Residency status, and compensation for the remaining years of a subscription is not guaranteed. Respond to any requested updates and contact support if an instruction or status is unclear.

## Common management actions

* Download an eligible [digital ID copy](/palau-id/download-digital-copy).

* [Renew or extend](/palau-id/renew-or-extend) an eligible ID.
* Review the optional [Expedited Service](/palau-id/expedited-service) when offered.
* Create or manage a [Legal DID](/legal-did/overview).
* Review services that depend on an active Palau ID, including [Palau Mailing](/palau-mailing/overview).

## Delete a Palau ID

If the product displays a deletion action, read every warning before continuing. The flow requires you to type the confirmation word, re-enter your password, and provide a two-factor code when 2FA is enabled.

Deleting a Palau ID removes it from active RNS.ID services and cancels **every active subscription on the same RNS.ID account**, not only the Palau ID renewal. This can include active Palau ID add-ons and Palau Mailing subscriptions. Some changes may take time to appear across the service. Review the complete Subscriptions list, current terms, and next deduction dates before confirming.

Deleting a Palau ID is not the same as deleting your RNS.ID account or erasing all records. Application, transaction, compliance, government, or service-provider records may be retained under the applicable requirements and privacy notices. It also does not erase public blockchain history. <Warning>
  Cancelling those subscriptions also clears their protected pricing where present and can permanently affect one-year-plan eligibility. Recreating the ID or reactivating a service does not guarantee restoration of the former plan, price, or automatic-renewal settings. Save any records you need and resolve dependent services before confirming. Deleting a Palau ID is separate from burning a Legal DID token; it is not a substitute for a token burn.
