# Use RNS Coupons and Redemption Codes

> Claim, share, accept, and redeem eligible RNS coupons or redemption codes and understand product, payment, and expiration restrictions.

Coupons and redemption codes apply specific benefits to eligible products and may have product, payment, status, or expiration limits.

## Coupon statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Claimable** | The reward can be claimed after satisfying the displayed requirement. |
| **Available** | The coupon belongs to your account and can be used on an eligible checkout. |
| **Used** | The coupon has already been applied to an order. |
| **Expired** | The redemption or use deadline has passed. |
| **Sent** | The coupon was shared or transferred through the supported flow. |

## Claim a coupon with Points

1. Open the eligible reward in RNS Points.
2. Review the Points cost and coupon benefit.
3. Check the applicable product, term, payment method, and expiration date.
4. Confirm the claim.
5. Verify that the coupon appears as **Available** before opening checkout.

Claiming a coupon spends the displayed Points. A claimed coupon is still subject to all eligibility and expiration restrictions.

<Note>
  A referral count, referral-sharing message, or promotional preview is not proof that a coupon was issued. A referral reward must appear in your account as **Claimable** or **Available** before you can claim or use it.
</Note>

## Use a coupon or code

At an eligible checkout, select an available coupon or enter the supported redemption code. Confirm that the order summary reflects the expected benefit before paying.

A code can fail when it:

* applies to another product or validity term;
* requires a different payment method;
* has expired, been used, or been disabled;
* belongs to another account or recipient;
* cannot be combined with the selected offer.

## Automatic use for subscription renewals

An eligible **Available** coupon can be applied automatically when RNS.ID creates a subscription-renewal order. **Auto-Apply for Subscription** is normally enabled by default for eligible coupons, so a coupon can be used even if you did not select it during a manual checkout.

When several enabled coupons match the renewal, the automatic flow prioritizes the higher discount and can apply up to two coupons to one order. Product, account, status, date, combination, and order-amount restrictions still apply.

Before the subscription's **Next Deduction Date**:

1. Open each coupon you want to keep.
2. Find **Auto-Apply for Subscription** in that coupon's actions.
3. Turn it off and confirm the saved state.
4. Check other existing coupons separately; changing one coupon does not change every other existing coupon.

See [Subscriptions and automatic renewal](/account/subscriptions-and-auto-renewal#check-coupons-before-renewal) for the renewal checklist.

## Share or accept a coupon

When a coupon offers sharing, use the in-product action to generate its official claim link, then send that link through a channel you trust. The recipient may need to sign in and accept it before the transfer deadline shown by the product.

Generating the link places the coupon in **Sent** status and prevents the sender from using it while the transfer is pending. After the displayed deadline, check the coupon's current status and original use-expiration date before trying another action.

<Note>
  Do not assume that copying a screenshot or coupon label transfers the reward. Only the official claim link transfers the coupon through the current product flow.
</Note>

If a valid coupon is missing or the order total is wrong, do not complete payment. Capture the coupon status and checkout summary, then [contact support](/support/contact-us).
