Connected accounts and wallets can be used for sign-in, product actions, or asset ownership depending on the selected method.
Connected social accounts
RNS.ID supports Google and Apple sign-in where offered. In account settings, review which provider is connected before adding or removing another sign-in path.
Connecting a provider links its verified sign-in to the existing RNS.ID account; it should not create a second product identity. If the provider email or an existing RNS.ID account causes a conflict, stop and contact support instead of repeatedly creating accounts.
Apple Hide My Email
When Apple provides a @privaterelay.appleid.com address, RNS.ID requires an accessible, non-relay contact email. A new user adds that address before registration can finish; an existing relay user replaces the email on the existing RNS.ID account before Apple sign-in can continue.
If the chosen email already belongs to another RNS.ID account, this flow does not merge or move either account. Use a different email or return to sign-in. See Apple Hide My Email and RNS.ID for verification times, recovery steps, and the email used after completion.
Connect a wallet
- Open the connected-wallet section in account settings.
- Select the supported wallet or network type.
- Connect the intended address.
- Read the complete message shown by the wallet and sign only when it matches the connection you started.
- Confirm that the address appears in the connected-wallet list.
Wallet-prompt text can vary by wallet and network. An RNS.ID sign-in or binding request should be an off-chain signature and should not ask you to send funds, approve token spending, or submit a blockchain transaction. A statement that a signature costs no gas is not, by itself, proof that the request is safe. Start from rns.id, verify the purpose and address, and never copy or send the resulting signature to another person or support agent.
If the wallet asks you to send funds, approve a token, or sign a blockchain transaction while merely connecting an account, reject the request and verify that you are on rns.id.
Remove a connected wallet
Use Remove next to the address and confirm the action. Before removal, check whether you still use the wallet to sign in or to access a Legal DID, Voyager Pass, payment, or other blockchain asset.
Removing the connection only removes the account link. It does not transfer, burn, or recover on-chain assets, and it does not revoke historical blockchain transactions.
Avoid losing access
Keep the account email current and make sure another working sign-in method remains available before disconnecting a method. RNS.ID cannot recover a self-custody wallet’s seed phrase or private key.
