Subscriptions can start at purchase
Buying a subscription-based RNS.ID product can automatically create or update an active subscription. Do not assume that automatic renewal is off until you enable it separately. Review the subscription after purchase and cancel automatic renewal if you do not want a future renewal charge. This applies to products that support subscriptions, not every RNS.ID order. Review the purchase information and the Subscription section of the Terms of Service.Review a subscription
Open Subscriptions in account settings to review the supported service’s:- active, suspended, or other displayed status;
- current term and renewal information;
- Next Deduction Date, when displayed;
- main product and eligible add-ons;
- automatic-renewal state;
- eligible coupons that may be set to apply automatically; and
- available subscribe, unsubscribe, or management actions.
Understand the next deduction date
The final renewal date is the date the next Palau ID term is intended to begin. Next Deduction Date is the next scheduled payment attempt, so it can be earlier than the ID expiration date or final renewal date. If the Palau ID management page shows only Renewal Date, open Subscriptions to look for the next deduction date. For Palau ID, automatic-renewal checkpoints are currently 60, 45, 30, 15, 5, and 0 days before the final renewal date. The first attempt can occur at the first remaining checkpoint for that subscription, up to 60 days early. If an attempt does not succeed, the next attempt can be scheduled at the next remaining checkpoint. A subscription activated after an earlier checkpoint does not backdate that missed attempt, and a successful attempt ends the retry sequence for that renewal. At one checkpoint, RNS.ID can consider eligible payment methods in payment-priority order. A move to a later date is separate from trying another eligible method during the current attempt. Other subscriptions can use different schedules; review their displayed dates. If a displayed date conflicts with a notice or the Terms, contact support with both records rather than assuming which one is correct.Review or re-enable automatic renewal
If automatic renewal is inactive and the product offers an activate or subscribe action:- Open the subscription.
- Review the next deduction date, current term, items, and amount.
- Confirm the saved payment priority.
- Enable automatic renewal.
- Verify that the subscription now shows renewal as active.
Check coupons before renewal
Eligible coupons can have Auto-Apply for Subscription enabled by default. When RNS.ID creates a renewal order, it can select up to two enabled coupons that match the subscription, prioritizing the higher discount. This can use a coupon you intended to keep for a later purchase or transfer. Before the Next Deduction Date, open the coupon list and check the setting on every coupon you want to keep. Turn off Auto-Apply for Subscription for those coupons and confirm each saved state. Do not assume that changing one coupon updates the setting on other existing coupons. Coupon product, account, status, date, combination, and order-amount restrictions still apply. See Coupons and redemption codes.Disable automatic renewal
Select the disable or unsubscribe action before the next charge and confirm it. Disabling renewal stops future eligible renewal attempts; it does not reverse an existing charge or immediately end access already paid for. Confirm that the product reports automatic renewal as disabled. Cancellation does not guarantee that a charge already initiated will be stopped or reversed. If a renewal order is processing or paid, review its status separately and contact support if needed.Add-ons and future cycles
When a subscription offers an add-on, enabling it can apply from the next billing cycle rather than immediately. Review the effective date and upcoming renewal summary before confirming. Product or account restrictions can prevent automatic-renewal changes. For an eligible Palau ID, Auto-renew Expedited Service is a separate add-on control. The main Palau ID automatic renewal must be enabled before the Expedited Service renewal control is available. Enabling the add-on places its displayed fee in the next annual renewal charge; disabling it can return future renewal processing and shipping to the standard service described in the confirmation. See Expedited Service. Disabling the main Palau ID automatic renewal can also disable automatic renewal for its add-on services. The current paid term normally remains available until its displayed end date, but future term options, add-on renewal, and protected pricing can change permanently. Read the displayed plan, eligibility, and price-protection consequences before confirming.Suspended or failed renewal
A failed renewal does not necessarily suspend the subscription immediately. RNS.ID can schedule a later payment attempt. A displayed Suspended state can appear after automatic renewal is cancelled or otherwise deactivated, or after an expired subscription is deactivated. Follow the action shown for that subscription. Activate can be available while the underlying product remains eligible; Buy Now can appear when the product must be purchased or renewed again. An expired Palau ID may need to be renewed or purchased again before its subscription can be reactivated.Manual product renewal and subscription auto-renewal are different actions. Check orders and subscription status before paying manually.
