Eligible users can receive a Legal DID through a supported Palau ID journey or a standalone Legal DID application. If your Palau ID journey includes a corresponding Legal DID, the Legal DID becomes eligible after the required identity and application approval. Open the Palau ID or Legal DID management experience to review its minting status and available action. You may also submit a pre-mint request before the Palau ID is active when the product offers it. The request is queued and the asset is airdropped after approval and suitable network conditions; it is not an early approval of the Palau ID. The standalone product uses an existing supported legal identity and does not grant Palau Digital Residency. To apply:
  1. Sign in to RNS.ID.
  2. Open the Legal DID product page.
  3. Review current eligibility, price, and product terms.
  4. Complete checkout.
  5. Submit the requested identity information and documents.
  6. Complete identity, KYC, AML, and any additional review shown.
  7. After approval, open the Legal DID management page to mint the asset.
Review the supported documents, restrictions, and prices shown in the current checkout and application. If they conflict with an existing order or notice, ask support to clarify before paying or resubmitting. Payment alone does not mean the application is approved or the token has been minted.

Before minting

Prepare a compatible self-custody wallet and make sure you control its keys. The production minting network is Ethereum only; do not use Sepolia or another test network. If the network shown by the product and the wallet prompt differ, stop before signing or paying. An eligible identity can have multiple Legal DIDs, including more than one in the same wallet. The minting flow checks whether the wallet is already associated with a different identity on the same blockchain; this is not a one-token-per-wallet limit. Review the wallet eligibility and minting requirements before submitting a request.
Legal DIDs cannot be transferred, even between your own wallets. RNS.ID does not provide a token-recovery or migration action for a wallet you cannot access. A confirmed burn cannot be reversed. Confirm the destination before minting.
If the Legal DID remains under review or the mint action is unavailable, open the application for a correction or contact support with its application ID.
